The founders of “The Unleashed Voice” believe that the notion of a traditional host is fading away, the all-knowing, all-seeing person who speaks from on high. We don't think the audiences really buy that anymore. We believe you have to be yourself, and you have to be real and you have to admit what you don't know, and talk about what you do know, and talk about what you don't know as long as you say you don't know it. We believe that the targeted audience we are reaching out to relate more to people in the media who are just themselves, for good or for bad, than someone who they believe are putting on some sort of persona. What we lack in journalistic training we make up in plain spoken language, experience, education, curiosity, robust, humor, and above all empathy.
Our vision with “The Unleashed Voice” is to recognize that, in some ways, the LGBQT community are more than an oversimplified standardized group of people," We plan to push through the obvious boundaries that portray the LGBTQ community as a monolithic segment of society, through interviews with political leaders and celebrities, we plan to illuminate the different perspectives on current issues, therefore creating a deeper understanding about who they are.
“The Unleashed Voice” will serve as a soundboard for the varied opinion its listeners and a targeted liberal audience in the Greater Memphis area. The aim is originality with viewpoints and a unique spin of information not readily available to the LGBTQ community members. We believe that this market is underserved and the opportunity to give an identity and voice to this segment of the community is prime timing.
“The Unleashed Voice” will solicit sponsor who are LGBTQ accepting and diverse in culture.
